Today it came the news that Chester Bennington, vocalist of the band Linkin Park, was found dead today as a result of suicide. I can't believe one of the most iconic voices of my teenage years is dead, it's like we Linkin Park fans are feeling the same Nirvana fans felt when Kurt Cobain killed himself as well. It's...shocking.

I admit I became a Linkin Park fan rather "late" for it's time: since as a teenager I didn't used to listen anglo music, I didn't became a Linkin Park fan until I entered university, that being said, I knew songs like "Breaking the Habit" and "Crawling" because LOTS OF PEOPLE on my classroom used to sing it and listen it in the radio. But as a I said, it was once I entered University I became a fan and listened to their first albums, my favorite song of them will always be My December, I just love Chester's voice in that song...it's pretty sad to listen it right now knowing he's gone :(

R.I.P Chester, I hope you finally found the place where you belong.

Well, as I promised, the date is confirmed: I plan to stream a Yuri on Ice marathon this Saturday at 17:00 CLT (time converter for your zone here) on my Rabb.it room! The stream may delayed a bit if there are so few people, but everyone can join whatever time they can!

(I'm gonna announce this in the official group now)

Ahem, after some salty posts I remembered that I had pending my first impressions/commentary on Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu, the only Summer 2017 anime that caught my attention and that I have time to watch (this has been a very busy year since this is my last year at University, and between preparing my thesis and all the stuff I don't have much free time as before). As you guys may know or not know, I'm studying History, so the premise of Katsugeki intrigued me from the get-go, and also because the Bakumatsu-Meiji period is one of my favorite periods in the history of Japan, along with the Muromachi-Sengoku period and the Edo period. So between last Saturday and this Saturday I watched the first two episodes, and all I can say it: I'M LOVING THIS SO MUCH.

Synopsis: The year is 1863 as the tumultuous samurai era is coming to an end, Japan is split between the pro-shogunate and anti-shogunate factions. The fate of the world is threatened as an army of historical revisionists are sent from the future to alter the course of history. In order to bring these forces down and protect the real history, two sword warriors, spirits who are swords brought to life by Saniwa (sage), rush to Edo. The polite and thoughtful Horikawa Kunihiro and the short tempered yet skillful Izuminokami Kanesada, who served the same master, confront the invading army along with a lively gang of other warriors including Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki, Yagen Toushirou, Tombokiri, and Tsurumaru Kuninaga.

As the fate of history lies in these hero's hands, what meets the blade is yet to be uncovered... (Source: Aniplex USA)
